In my last blog, we explored the power of Notice. Pause. Allow. —the practice of meeting resistance with presence instead of pressure.
Once you begin to notice what’s happening inside, something beautiful opens up: choice.
You start to realize that you can play with what’s going on within you. You can get curious about it—without judgment, without needing to fix it—and even have a little fun with it.
Here’s where the magic begins: 💫
When you pause long enough to see your thoughts and feelings clearly, you gain the freedom to choose.
You get to decide:
-
What story am I telling myself right now?
-
Is this belief helping me or holding me back?
-
What’s another perspective that feels lighter, kinder, or more true?
We all carry “old stories” that quietly shape how we think, lead, and live.
Stories like:
-
“If I don’t do it perfectly, I’ve failed.”
-
“Rest is lazy.”
-
“If I slow down, everything will fall apart.”
-
“I can’t say no without letting someone down.”
-
“I have to prove my worth through results.”
-
“This is just the way I am.”
But here’s the truth: these are just stories. And you have the power to write new ones.
When you shift your inner narrative, your body follows.
Each new thought or belief sends signals that change your biology, releasing calming hormones, balancing your nervous system, and opening space for clarity, energy, and ease.
So next time you feel yourself slipping into an old story (which is normal) pause and ask:
✨ “What else could be true?” ✨
Play with that question. Be curious, not critical. Let curiosity lead you toward the story you want to live.
Because awareness gives you power… and choice turns that power into transformation.
👉Mini Reflection Practice: “Shift the Story”
Take a quiet moment today to connect with yourself.
- Notice:
Recall a situation that feels stressful or heavy. - Ask:
What story am I telling myself about this?
(Example: “I have to do everything perfectly or I’ll fail.”) - Get Curious:
What else could be true?
(Example: “I can do my best and still rest.” or “I’m allowed to learn as I go.”) - Choose:
Pick the thought or belief that feels lighter and truer for you—and breathe it in.
Notice how your body feels as you settle into that new story.
❤️ Each time you do this, you’re reshaping your biology and re-training your nervous system to align with calm, clarity, and confidence.
